In 2003 I went a little bit mad and decided to buy a property in Isla Canela (I had never visited the area before)  A friend had bought a holiday home there and i really liked the look of the area, so i went steaming ahead and put £500 down as a deposit on a two bedroom apartment at Los Gavilanes Isla Canela.

This is my story and my holiday tips for those interested in reading my rambling Eye On Blog....

 

This is how it all started .....

Just so you know who we are this is myself and my other half Royston.

We met in 2003 and decided almost straight away to invest in a place in the sun. Royston is fluent in Spanish (his mums from Madrid) so its didnt seem that scarey......

EL RINCON DEL SUAREZ opposite the service station on the way out of Ayamonte (near bus station). New restaurant, very Spanish, nicely decorated, quite full of mostly Spanish by 10pm, no English menu and staff didn't speak English but were friendly and we got by ok. Had the Rape soup 3.5euros (delicious), the revuelto (yuk) which was not the same as I've had before, shared a linguado main course and pud, bill was about 45 euros with a bottle of nice wine. So, not the cheapest but still felt it was good value, lively and looking at the other tables most of the food looked good quality....
